Mohegan Sun The Day Prince Died (2016)

Mohegan Sun the Day Prince Died was a performance that took place over the course of twelve hours between April 21st and 22nd, 2016, in a hotel room at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. My collaborator and I (collectively My Husband) met six gamblers on the casino floor, and invited each up to our hotel room for a candid recorded interview about addiction, risk-taking, and performance in high-stakes environments. The work explores the power dynamics of an interview environment, pursuing knowledge by staging conversations about risk in a setting charged by prospects of intimacy.
